Pittsford/Dansville- Jane Louise Simons age 95, passed away late Tuesday night April 26, 2022, at the Highlands Living Center following a brief illness. She was born in Dansville, on October 7, 1926, a daughter of the late John and Geraldine (Freas) LaPiana. She was also predeceased by her sister, Patricia Thompson, her husband Norman P. Simons in 1987, and her grandson Bennett White in 2022. Jane was a lifelong resident of Dansville, working at Lieb's bookstore followed by Security Trust bank of Dansville. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church of Dansville, also serving as a traveling Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society, and the Noyes Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years, Quilting, and always cherished time with her family. She is survived by her children, Mary Lou Meyers, Michael (Patricia) Meyers, and Marie (Terry) Piper, a stepdaughter Linda (Jake) Acomb, grandchildren, Austin White, Ryan (Nina) Meyers, Rachel (Marc Loveless) Meyers, step-grandchildren, Hilary Acomb, and Richard Acomb, great-grandchildren, Reid Meyers, Tyler and Cameryn Loveless, several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday April 30th 10:00am at St. Mary's Church of Dansville. Interment to follow in Greenmount cemetery Dansville. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at: HindleFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Lollipop Farm in Rochester, St. Mary's Church of Dansville, and St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Dansville.
