Obituary of Linda Lee Makowski

Dansville-Linda (Brooks) Makowski quietly departed this life on January 26, 2022, and joined her beloved husband in Heaven at the age of 77 years. Linda was predeceased by her husband, Peter, and her brother, Jack Brooks. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Gail Brooks; nieces Mary (Ed) Durkin, Jeanne (Matt) Schwasman, Kelly (Michael) Paulina, and Kristin (Ken) Warren along with many great nieces and nephews, goddaughter Laura (Patrick) Maiuri, and best friends Jan Ferringer and Gloria Korth. Linda was a career woman retiring from Castle several years ago. While she was still working, her husband and she owned and operated Echo Valley Speedway Motocross racetrack in Conesus, NY, in the 1970s. She also was very involved with the Livingston County Humane Society with her husband spending many hours assisting with rescues and working craft sales to support this charity. Linda was an avid crafter, making many different crafts and donating them to different charities to help support causes she believed in. She was active early on supporting the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester in this way. She was a huge Buffalo Bills fan and traveled to many away games all decked out in her Bills gear. She loved to travel, and she made many friends in her travels to far away locations. She enjoyed gambling and took many a bus trip with friends to the various casinos in the area. She truly was just a very fun lady to be around. She was well versed in many different areas and could talk with authority about so many different subjects.
