Dansville – Carolyn Jean Nichols age 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ early Wednesday morning January 26, 2022, at the Steuben County Nursing Home in Bath following and extended illness. She was born in Lima Ohio on September 21, 1940, a daughter of the late George and Alberta (Lucas) Snow. On April 30, 1961, she was married to Bruce Nichols, who predeceased her on September 8, 2001. Carolyn was a longtime member of the Dansville Free Methodist Church where she was active with the worship and fellowship organizations. She was formerly employed at the Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea as a therapy aid. She is survived by two daughters Georgia (Mike) DeBerardinis, Tammy Lamont, a son Eric Snyder, and eight grandchildren Nicholas DeBerardinis, Christopher (Kylie) DeBerardinis, Jerzee, Dylan, Bruce, and Benjamin Lamonte, Delany and Fynn Snyder, Miki (Matthew) Davis and a great-grandson Kai Davis. Friends may call Saturday January 29, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Dansville Free Methodist, where services will be held at the completion of calling hours. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Scottsburg. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at: HindleFuneralHome.com.
