Dansville – Dorothy L. Perkins age 76, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon January 14, 2022, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville following a brief illness. She was born in Scottsburg on July 30, 1945, a daughter of the late Vern and Nina (Kanaval) Carney Sr. She was also predeceased by several siblings. On July 20, 1972, she was married to Donald Perkins who survives. Dorothy was a life member of the Woman of the Moose of Dansville. She was a member of the Hook and Ladder Ladies Auxiliary and the NRA. Dorothy and Don spent many years as seasonal campers at Sky Brook Campground in Ossian. In her free time, she enjoyed taking pictures of family and friends. Surviving in addition to her husband Don are her a daughter Dana Perkins, sons, Donald Perkins, Michael Perkins, Tim (Judy) Wilson, Lynn Wilson and Harold (Trichelle) Wilson, two sisters Edna Mae Galton and Ruthy Cassidy. Eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7pm at the Dansville Foursquare Church. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at: HindleFuneralHome.com. Mask and social distancing protocol will be observed. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please send donations to the American Cancer Society.
