Dansville- Fern E. Weidman age 82, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon August 29, 2012, at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris where she had been a resident for the past several months. She was born in the Town of Ossian on March 8, 1930, a daughter of the late Ray Burl and Addie Mary Linzy Weidman. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Hugh, John, Mark, Reid, Neal, Lynn, Ruby Weidman and Lucy Isaman. Fern was a graduate of the Roberts Beauty School and a hairdresser at the Elite Beauty Shop of Dansville for thirty years. When she retired she worked in the kitchen at SUNY Geneseo for 13 years. Fern was a volunteer at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville and she loved to bake. She is survived by her sister, Mary Womack of Dansville, three sisters in-law Mary Essler, Marilyn Weidman and Johanne Weidman, many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday from 12:00 to 3:00pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Wood Cemetery, Ossian. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Ossian Presbyterian Church.
