Obituary of Nancy Jean Wise

She was born in Dansville, on November 12, 1937, a daughter of the late Dwight B and Margaret Zimmer Wise. Nancy was also predeceased by her siblings Donald, George and Ann Wise and her beloved cats, Stinky and Squeak. Nancy was a graduate of the Dansville Central School, Class of 1956. She was well known in the community for the 37 years of exceptional service she provided as Dansville Village Clerk. Prior to that she was employed as a Western Union Clerk. Nancy enjoyed travel, bowling, candy making, crafts and gardening especially landscaping and floral design. She also enjoyed her times spent with her friends golfing. She is survived by her sisters, Doris Montgomery of Warsaw and Lois (Richard) Damon of Livonia and sister in law Jane Wise of Sparta. Nephews, Benjamin Damon and David Wise. Nieces, Valerie Duell, Donna Wise, Patricia Fulkerson and Jeanne Smith and seven grand nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday from noon to 2:00 PM, Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will take place at the conclusion of calling hours. Friends are invited to a reception which will be held at the Dansville Moose Club following burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers friends may make memorial contributions to the Dansville Ambulance Fund, PO Box 235, Dansville 14437. On line condolences may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
