Helen Lou was a wonderful lady. She chaired the library committee when I served on it. I have fond memories of meeting in her lovely home and discussing books, one of her favorite topics. She was the consummate hostess. Helen Lou was also the director of the bell choir when I was a ringer. She was so patient and kind. Helen Lou was a great mentor. Prayers for her family.

I will never forget us packing up the station wagon and heading to grandma and grandpa Bardens to swim and play kick the can. Of course Ross always won but it was so fun. Also those yellow cookies I will never forget. Thought and prayers to the family

What a wonderful lady~ I have many fond memories of sitting in her kitchen by the fireplace drinking a cup of tea or watching her bake cookies or just chatting about church, family or whatever. I was always welcome there . . . even in the summertime for a dip in the pool! I taught Roseanne, Ross and Beth and they were (and are) a clear reflection of the love and guidance that she and Jerry raised them with. She sang in the church choir that I directed for many years in the Dansville UMC. She was one of the kindest people I have ever known. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
