Obituary of Anna Mae Rongo

Groveland Station- Anna Mae Trescott Rongo age 87, passed away Monday October 7, 2019, at Noyes Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born in Sparta, on December 2, 1931, a daughter of the late Harlan and Hazel (Wagner) Trescott. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Helen VanDurme, and William Trescott. She was married to Philip Rongo who survives.

Anna was a 1948 graduate of Dansville Central School. She was a member of Faith Fellowship in Lakeville. She enjoyed putting together puzzles, Gardening, Growing Flowers, Cats, Crossword Puzzles, and going to the Groveland Senior Luncheons.

She is survived by her children, Sue Rongo (Mike) Vannostrand, Georgia (Tom) Robinson, Scott Rongo, Jerry Rongo, Annette (Steven Fazzary) Rongo, beloved grandchildren, David Gee, Sarah (Michael) Modney, great-grandchild Grace Modney, her brother, Robert Trescott, her sister, Marge Tice, several nieces, and nephews, special friends, Dave Reilly, Kathy Holbrook, Nellie Rossborough, Mary Carney Doyle and Family, and her cats.

Burial was held in Scottsburg Union Cemetery, a graveside service will be held on October 26, 2019 at 11:00am at Scottsburg Union Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville.  Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com
