Obituary of Wendy Ruth Colletta

Scottsburg- Wendy Ruth Colletta age 54, passed away Saturday afternoon March 9, 2019, at her parent’s home surrounded by family after a long illness.

 

She was born in Dansville, NY on October 23, 1964. A daughter of Melvin and Linda (George) Mensinger.

She was a licensed cosmetologist when she was younger. She enjoyed painting and drawing, rock music, and going shopping with her daughter Alaina. She loved horses, and she was a soft spoken, kind person. Her favorite flowers were pansies and pink roses. She moved to Rochester about 10 years ago and loved living in her apartment. Alaina is a medical records clerk in Rochester, NY as well as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Brandon her son is a chef at Peppermints in Avon, NY. Wendy also loved being outside in the sunshine and taking pictures of nature.

In Addition to her parents Wendy is survived by her children Alania, and Brandon Colletta, her sister, Karen (Steve) Griffith, Terry (Ron) Bowers, her brother, Melvin (Pamela) Mensinger, several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday March 14, 2019 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the Scottsburg United Methodist Church, 7331 State Route 256, Scottsburg NY 14545 where a funeral service will be held following calling hours. Interment in Scottsburg Union Cemetery.
