Dansville/Ossian- Gertrude B. "Trudy" Potter age 86, passed away Friday morning November 9, 2018, at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home in Livonia after a long illness.

She was born in Ohio on September 2, 1932, a daughter of the late Alton and Bernice (Robinson) Scutt. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Grace Moore and Leona Wohlslegel, three brothers, Leonard, Walter and Alton Scutt. On March 19, 1960, she was married to Charlie H. Potter, who survives.

Charlie and Trudy ran a family farm in Ossian where they raised their children. She was a graduate of Pavilion High School Class of 1954. She was a longtime member of the Ossian Ladies Aide, a volunteer for the Clara Barton Chapter # 1 of the American Red Cross, a volunteer at Noyes Memorial Hospital Wellness Programs. In her free time, she enjoyed, baking, cooking, doing crafts and watching her children and grandchildren grow.

She is survived by her husband Charlie; two daughters, Janet (Allen) Fowler and Sue (Jay) Bagley, a son Robin Potter, siblings, Cathy Freeman and Lester (Florence) Scutt, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville, where services will be held Friday at 11:00am. Interment will be in Ossian Center Cemetery, Ossian. Online condolences may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com
