Obituary of Gerda Sahrle

Dansville- Gerda Ursula Sahrle, age 79, passed away early Wednesday morning October 17, 2018 at her home following an illness.

 

She was born in Munich, Germany on March 7, 1939, a daughter of the late Paul and Elisabeth (Lachowicz) Voelkl. On October 28, 1958 she was married to Richard Sahrle who survives.

 

She was a homemaker for her family and worked for a short time as a cafeteria monitor for Dansville Central School District. She was a communicant of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, a former member of Meals on Wheels, and she enjoyed watching the Rochester Amerks.

 

Surviving in addition to her loving husband of 59 years Richard are their children, Sandra (Douglas) Morgan, Linda Daugherty. Susan (Robert) Starcher, her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Samantha, and Jennifer, great-grandchild Griffin.
