Obituary of Cora E. Loop

Dansville- Cora E. Loop age 86, passed away early Thursday morning November 30, 2017, at the Avon Nursing Home where she had been a resident for the past few months.

She was born in Avon on January 6, 1931, a daughter of the late Ephraim and Elizabeth (Shafer) Holbrook. She was also predeceased by her husband Allison Loop, a son Dannie Loop, a sister Susie Holbrook and a son in-law Roger Vanderwall.

Cora was a longtime volunteer at the Dogwood Day Treatment in Dansville. She had worked in the laundry room at the Hilton Hotel in Rochester for many years. In her free time she enjoyed knitting and puzzle books.

She is survived by her children, Russell (Pat) Loop, Ronnie (Karen Sutton) Loop, Dawn (George) Brooks and Kay Vanderwall. Ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held at the completion of calling hours. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville. Online remembrances may be left HindleFuneralHome.com.
