Obituary of William George Hoffman

Dansville- William G. Hoffman age 74, passed away late Friday afternoon November 3, 2017, at the home of his daughter Sharlene after an extended illness.

He was born in Wayland on June 18, 1943, the son of the late George Frederick and Rhea Eleanor (Paddock) Hoffman. He was also predeceased by a brother Charles Hoffman.

Bill was a self-employed welder operating Mobile Welding Service on pipelines in many parts of the country. He was a longtime member of the Loyal; Order of the Moose # 1130 of Dansville. In his free time he enjoyed traveling, camping, listening to old time country music, and antique cars.

He is survived by his children, William (Patricia) Hoffman of Wayland, Sharlene (Nelson) Hoffman of Dansville, and Robert (Dodie) Hoffman of LeRoy, thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in St. Josephs Cemetery in Wayland. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left HindleFuneralHome.com.
