Dear Coates Family
It was always a pleasure to visit with Dora at family gatherings for Lindsay, Andrew and Patrick.
And although our encounters were few, we became instant fans Dora fans!
May the many lives she touched, her love of family and friends provide comfort and peace.
Sincerely,
Barb & Phil

Mrs. Coates was my saving grace when I re-entered the teaching field, at Dansville Jr. High.
She was the sweetest, most giving (of her time, talents and professional expertise) and thoughtful "mentor" I could have ever chosen. SHE WAS A GEM is so many ways.
I also taught with her son, Marty, at Mt. Morris and he had many of his Mom's genes, believe me.
She lived a good life, and was extremely important to all of her family, friends and acquaintances. She will certainly be missed but, I'm sure, welcomed in Heaven by many.

You were an amazing little lady. I always thought of you as a neighbor but more importantly A FRIEND.
You will be dearly missed by me and all of your friends at Lakeville Estates.

From kindergarten to graduation I've been a friend and neighbor of the Coates family. The Coates farm and Macomber farm shared a border. I Remember lots of things growing up, it would make a book. My best memories are, when I got married I lived across the road from Dora and Bill. My middle daughter Danielle loved to go help Bill get sap to make maple sryup. Every May Day all three girls loved to make a basket and sneak across the road and leave it on your mom's doorstep and run. Didn't matter to your mom that sometimes it was just dandelions, she loved the gesture. Even when she moved to Lakeville, Tanya would send her a picture of flower on May Day through FB. Your mom was a beautiful lady, I missed having her as a neighbor, but she was right there when our family had milestones. Weddings, births, retirements and in death. Now there is no more pain and she is with Bill again. RIP Dora, until we meet again someday.

It makes me sad to know that I will no longer see her smiling face at the most unexpected times. She always did her best to show up at the family celebrations of friends. Ed, Debbie, Marty, Susie and Matt I am sorry for your loss - it's never easy!
