Dansville-Wayland- James R. "Jim" Vogel age 77, passed away peacefully onto his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday afternoon August 26, 2026, in his home with loving family at his side.

Jim was born on September 28, 1948, a son of the late Harold and Helen (Collins) Vogel. He was also predeceased by a daughter in law Jolene Clancy and many fur babies. On November 5, 1966, he married the love of his life Linda Johnson Vogel.

Jim was a man of great faith in his Lord, a huge Buffalo Bills Fan, an outdoorsman, and avid hunter. He loved the outdoors and considered himself as "I'm just and ole country boy, living the American Dream. He resided and raised his family in his home on the family farm he loved his entire life. Jim loved to snowmobile with his sons and enjoyed keeping up with them on many rides throughout the years. He also enjoyed going to the casino, and yard sales with Linda. Jim commuted to Rochester for 47 years, retiring from Kayex in 2013.

Jim is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years Linda, two daughters Melissa (John) White and Stacey Baird; two sons James (Lisa) Vogel and Paul (Bridget Roney) Vogel; his siblings Carol (Merle) Stein, Joyce (Joe) Swift, Maggie (Doug) Young, Richard Vogel and Steven (Sharon) Vogel; four grandchildren Brittany (Jared) Cali, Zachary (Quyen) White, Bryce (Makala) Baird, Trevor (Sierra) White; eight great-grandchildren Aaron, Alexa, Allison, Amelia, and Andrew Cali, Milo and Charlie White and Nolan Baird, and many nieces and nephews.
