Dansville- Aletha Y. Guy age 87, passed away early Wednesday morning July 29, 2026, at Elderwood in Hornell with family at her side.

She was born in Dansville on December 2, 1938, a daughter of the late Charles and Charlotte (Haywood) Miller. She was also predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Corinne "Cork" (Ralph) Wolfanger, Randa (Duane) Towne, Larry Miller, and her son in-law James "Drew" Goodell. On July 20, 1956, she was married to Robert "Bob" Guy Sr., who survives.

Above all, she was a mother. She cared for foster children and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She worked as an assistant manager at Price Cutter and found joy selling Tupperware and hosting home parties. Painting ceramics was another passion, and her pieces are still treasured by family. She and Bob were also known for providing the Friday night fish fries at the Moose Club for many years.

Surviving in addition to her husband Bob, are three daughters Debra Goodell, Dawn (John) Kuhn and Candy (Tim) Mastin; a son Robert (Deb) Guy Jr., several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, Bob's siblings, their spouses and families. A special thanks to Marjorie Cansdale, and Yvonne Heiman for their help, support and love.

Calling hours will be on Saturday August 1st from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and a time of reflection will immediately follow. Please join the family after calling hours at the Dansville Moose Lodge for a celebration of life.
