Gates/Dansville - Sue A. Maccallini age 85, passed away early Tuesday morning June 9, 2026, at the Aurora Hospice House in Spencerport with her sons and daughters-in-law at her bedside.

She was born in Dansville on July 16, 1940, a daughter of the late Dwight and Harriet (Gerling) Herrick.

Sue worked at Marmax Impressions with her former husband Al Maccallini. She was a long time member of the Gates Presbyterian Church. In her earlier years, she was a cheerleader in high school and a majorette in the White Sabers Drum and Bugle Corps. She enjoyed participating in Community Theatre, swimming aerobics at the YMCA, arts and crafts, going to garage sales, watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and vanilla ice cream. Sue loved following her children and grandchildren in their various musical and sports activities.

She is survived by three sons Michael Maccallini, Greg (Debra) Maccallini and Tim (Tammy) Maccallini; two sisters Ruth Tarbox Provo and Jean (Tom) Verzillo-Maimone; a brother Alan (Sally) Herrick; five grandchildren, a great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Sunday June 14, 2026, from 11:00 to 1:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville, where a time of reflection will follow calling hours. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Dansville Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
