Montour Falls- Neil Richard Simpson age 71, passed away late Tuesday evening May 12, 2026, at Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls following an illness.
He was born in Rochester, on February 12, 1955, a son of the late Edward and Fay (Gilbert) Simpson. He was also predeceased by a brother Paul Simpson.
Neil worked briefly as an aide at the Rochester office for people with developmental disabilities. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, watching the Buffalo Bills, and professional wrestling.
Surviving Neil are his children, David John (Genesis Bingham) Simpson, Derek Ryan Simpson, a sister, Melissa (Sarah Constable) Simpson, brothers, Michael (Tyler Nearing) Simpson, Keith (Gail) Simpson, a sister-in-law Deb Simpson, seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Sunday May 17, 2026, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Hindle Funeral Home Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday 10:00am at St. Mary's Church of Dansville. Interment to follow in Oakland Hill Cemetery, Online memories may be shared at HindleFuneralHome.com
