South Dansville- Wilma G. King age 88, passed away early Wednesday afternoon March 18, 2026, at the Ira Davenport Health Center in Bath.

She was born in the Town of Dansville on August 27, 1937, a daughter of the late Myron and Cassie (Cole) Harter. On August 18, 1956, she married Frank King Jr., who predeceased her a little over a month ago on February 15, 2026. She was also predeceased by a son in-law John Wetherbee, a granddaughter Sarah Wetherbee and siblings Donald, DeMyrl, Robert and Tracy Harter, Ruby Brundage and F. Eloise Swarts, and Illa France.

Wilma was a member of the South Dansville United Methodist Church, and the Red Hat Society. She had worked for Poverty Knob Farms for over twenty-nine years.

She is survived by four daughters, Candace Wetherbee, Tina (Alan) King, Lisa (Fred) Knapp, Robin (Joseph) VanNorman, two sons, Mike (Patti) King and Norman (Jung Won) Wright, fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, a sister Margaret (Dan) Downey, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for both Wilma and Frank will be held at the South Dansville United Methodist Church on Saturday June 6th 2026, at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Rogersville Forest Lawn Cemetery in the Town of Dansville. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville.
