Dansville — Carol Lee Sherrod age 73, passed away at home early Sunday morning March 1, 2026.
She was born in Dansville on September 26, 1952, and was a daughter of the late Bernard and Patricia Fern (Kinney) Carmody. She was also predeceased by her Grandson Jared Sherrod and siblings, Deloris NiCastro, Kay Hamilton, Norman Carmody, John Carmody. Jay Carmody and Jed Carmody.
Carol was a US Navy veteran serving from 1971 to 1972. She was a former bartender at the Frank J. Casbolt VFW Post, and the Daniel Goho Post # 87 of the American Legion both of Dansville.
She is survived by her children Julian (Florida), Jodi, Joshua and Allyson Sherrod all of Georgia, two sisters Ellen Totman, and Betty Carmody, brothers, Mike Kinney, Joseph, and Gerald Sullivan, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Interment will be at Bath National Cemetery. At Carol's request there will be no services. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. Online memories may be shared at HindleFuneralHome.com
