South Dansville- Frank King Jr., age 89 passed away early Sunday morning February 15, 2026, at Taylor Health Facility in Bath.

He was born in Naples, NY on August 13, 1936, and was the son of the late Frank and Gladys (Lafler) King Sr. He was also predeceased by a granddaughter Sarah, a son-in-law John Wetherbee, and siblings Richard, Daniel, Marion, Clayton and Marie Buss. On August 18, 1956, he married Wilma Harter King who survives.

Frank worked for twenty-five years for the Town of Dansville Highway Department. He was a member of the South Dansville Volunteer Fire Department and the South Dansville United Methodist Church. He was a US Army veteran serving from 1956 to 1958. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to country music, tinkering around the house and spending time with family.

Surviving in addition to his wife Wilma are four daughters, Candace Wetherbee, Tina (Alan) King, Lisa (Fred) Knapp, Robin (Joseph) Vannorman, two sons, Mike (Patti) King and Norman (Jung Won) Wright, fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, A sister Bonnie (Joel) Cornish, brothers, James (Paula) King, and Timothy King, and brother in law Donald Buss and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the South Dansville United Methodist Church on June 6, 2026 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Rogersville Forest Lawn Cemetery in the Town of South Dansville.
