Sparta- Debra J. Rodgers age 70, passed away Saturday morning February 14, 2026, after a long illness.

She was born in Penn Yann on August 25, 1955, a daughter of Douglas and Marilyn (Rex) Stratton. She was predeceased by her father Douglas in 2002. On July 5, 1986, she married Frank Rodgers, who survives.

Debra had worked as a bus driver for Lat's Transportation and at the Convenient Food Mart in Dansville. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting bracelets and necklaces out of beads, chain mail, diamond painting and listening to audio books.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Rodgers, her mother Marilyn Stratton, a stepdaughter Tammy Marie (Mark) Leonard, a daughter Bobby Jo Ladd-Finley and a son Ronald James Ladd, a brother Douglas Stratton and a sister Tammy (Eugene) Stratton-Rodgers, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. Burial will be on Thursday at 11am at Greenmount Cemetery in Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
