South Dansville - Sally Scudder Nix, passed away September 5, 2025, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.

Sally was born on December 1, 1950, to the late Marc and Dorothy (Schmid) Scudder. She was predeceased by her siblings, Kathleen (Dan) Yeider, and Thomas Scudder, her husband Art Nix, and her nephew Roger Morrison.

She is survived by her brother Michael Scudder and sister Linda Morrison. Nieces Katharine Morrison (Bryan Acomb), Jennifer Goetz, Kristy Larkin, and Sara Morrison. Nephews Kevin Yeider, Christopher (Sandra) Foote. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews, her dearest ones Hotchner and Harper Acomb, who filled her days with love and laughter. She also shared her life for many decades with her devoted companion, KC, (Kenneth Charles) Harvey, and is deeply mourned by her best friend, Donna Brassard.

Sally lived her life with a spirit of adventure and a love for animals. An avid horsewoman, she shared many cherished moments with her horses, Cupcake and Whiskey. She was also a devoted caretaker to her beloved dogs, Jake and Grady, and her cats Tiny and Scrappy. Among her many adventures, she treasured her trips on horseback into Yellowstone National Park an experience that reflected her love of nature and courage to embrace life fully.

Sally's strength, compassion and warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her loyalty to those she loved, and the joy she brought into the lives of her family and friends. She was an incredibly important person in our lives and will be forever missed.
