Sparta- Howard F. Jacobs age 80, passed away Tuesday afternoon September 2, 2025, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.

He was born in Canandaigua, NY on January 23, 1945, the son of Howard T. and Althea (Coon) Jacobs. On December 27, 1969, he married Peggy (Chandler) Jacobs who survives.

Howard was a graduate of SUNY Geneseo and had taught mathematics and computers at Keshequa Central School in Nunda. He was a master carpenter, woodcarver and cabinet maker at his home in Sparta. He worked with others in the community, teaching them these skills

He was a member of the Dansville Fish & Game Club. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving in addition to his wife Peggy are a daughter Kimberly Jacobs; a son Christopher (Emily Stroupe) Jacobs, grandchildren, Leah Huerto, Eleanor, Sophie and Graham Jacobs. Howard was a wonderful husband, father and grandpa. He was extremely proud of his family
