Dansville- Arthur J. "Art" Werth age 83, passed away Thursday morning August 14, 2025, at his home in Poag's Hole.

He was born in Dansville on December 25, 1941, a son of the late Irving and Marian (Nicholson) Werth. On July 23, 1966, he was married to Catherine Hillier Werth who predeceased him on August 10, 2004. He was also predeceased by a daughter Darlene "Doobie" Werth, and a daughter in-law Regina Werth.

Art and Cathy were the original owners of the Dansville Redemption Center. He was a former Sgt. for the NYS Park Police at Stony Brook State Park. He was a truck driver for many years driving for Covered Wagon Train and eventually retiring from Shay's Service and Main Tire Exchange. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, Nascar, routing for the Buffalo Bills and spending time with family.

He is survived by a daughter Deborah Robson, a son Marc Werth, grandchildren Joseph (Jasmaine) Werth, Jesse (Tiffany) Werth and Alexis (Scott) Tilburg, great-grandchildren Harper, James, Dean, Beau and Quinn, a brother Robert (Pamela) Werth, several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., in Dansville. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery Dansville. Online memories may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
