Dansville- Ardeth June Wensel age 98, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, at the Livingston County CFNR in Mt. Morris.

She was born in Perry, on June 4, 1927, a daughter of the late Clarence and Helen (Price) Gross. On January 18, 1947, she was married to Kenneth Wensel who predeceased her in 2015. She was also predeceased by a son, Gary, her sisters, Dorris Moretti, Louise Graves, and Cheryl Foxworth, brothers George, Duane and Leo Gross, grandchildren, Matthew and Monica Wensel.

Ardeth was a devoted communicant of St. Mary's Church of Dansville. After graduating from Dansville Central School, she was employed for a short time at the Blum Shoe Factory as an Insole Tacker and later worked for ten years as a clerk at the Dansville Outdoor Store. She spent most of her time raising her large family with her husband Kenneth. Ardeth drove with Kenneth in her van to all 48 contiguous states.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth H (Deborah) Wensel of Carolina Shores, NC. Daniel (Christine) Wensel of Perkinsville, Steven (Patti Jo) Wensel of Cape Coral, FL., Kim (Christine) Wensel of Wayland, Patrick (Ricki) Wensel of Dansville and Sandra (Charlie) Roman of Syracuse, Sixteen grandchildren, and Twenty-One great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews

Friends may call 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Sunday July20th at the Hindle Funeral Home Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville, NY 14437. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday July 21st at 11:00am St, Mary's Church of Dansville. Interment next to her husband Kenneth in Greenmount Cemetery Dansville.
