Dansville- Catherine Jane "Kay" Hoag age 95, passed away early Sunday morning January 26, 2025, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville following a brief illness.

She was born in Mt. Morris, NY on February 7, 1929, a daughter of the late Richard and Genevieve (McComb) Donovan. On October 22, 1949, she was married to De Merle Hoag, who predeceased her on October 8, 2008. She was also predeceased by a son-in law Ron Jamison and siblings, Ruth Croston, Doris Dennison and Richard Donovan.

Kay was a Communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Mary's Church in Dansville. She was the longtime secretary for the Western NY Motocross Sports Association. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, all kinds of crafts, bird watching, making black raspberry jam for her grandchildren and family gatherings were most important.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Jamison, and Noreen (Fred) Miner, five sons, Tim (Cindy) Hoag, Bill Hoag, Dave (Kellee) Hoag, Ken (Tammy) Hoag, and Pete (Brenda) Hoag; a brother Robert (Michelle) Donovan, 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Friday Jan. 31, from 3 to 7 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 am at St., Mary's Church in Dansville. Interment will be next to De Merle in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville.
