Dansville- Nancy Jane Mathieu, 84 of Dansville passed away on August 1st at Strong Memorial Hospital, after battling a severe case of pneumonia.

She was predeceased by her husband of 62 yrs, Frank L Mathieu. Her sister Eileen Kirkham (Ellwood City Pa) Her Brother Paul Reinheimer (Joanne, Columbus Ohio) Her brother Willian Hollencamp ( Rose, Ellwood City PA) and Brothers and Sister in laws Ray and Margret Hilmer of Florida and Norman and Ann Mathieu of Indiana.

She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed her family and friends. She loved to travel with her husband, collect precious moments figurines and loved the thrill of the chase for those infamous beanie babies. She enjoyed playing cards and board games with her friends and family. In the late 70s early 80s she was known as the ice cream lady to the neighborhood kids because she worked at Campbell's dairy scooping up some great cones.

She leaves behind her Son Michael Mathieu of Avon, 2 Daughtes Machelle West (Ray) Marci Maggio both of Dansville and Brother in Law Charles Kirkham of Ellwood City Pa. 4 Grandchildren Miranda Mathieu (Carl) of Cohocton, Jacob Mathieu (Samantha) of Cookeville Tennessee, Rachel West of Dansville and Hilary Hunt ( Wesley) of New Iberia Louisiana. And 6 Great Grandchildren, Jaylin, Camden, Cash, Kolbie, Grayson and Levi.

Friends may call from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, on Friday August 5th at the Hindle Funeral Home at 271 Main Street Dansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday August 6th 10:00am at St Mary's Church on Elizabeth St Dansville. Online memorials may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
