Obituary of Mary Morgan Sundlof

She was born in Hornell on December 22, 1926, a daughter of the late James P. and Elizabeth Canty Morgan. On June 28, 1947, in St. Patricks Church she was married to Charles V. Charlie Sundlof, who survives. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Bette M. Smith, James and Stuart Morgan, and a grandson Andrew Drew Eve. Mary was a communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Marys Church in Dansville. When Mary and Charlie were first married she attended St. Patricks Church in Dansville. She was retired from the NYS Department of Unemployment in Dansville and Geneseo. She was a volunteer at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville where she also volunteered at the help desk and in the Spice Box Gift Shop. Charlie and Mary delivered Meals on Wheels throughout the Dansville area for several years. She was also employed in the office of the former Maloney Brothers Nursery. Marys greatest joy came from her family, friends and holding the baby grandchildren. Surviving in addition to Charlie, her husband of 60 years, are a daughter, Suzanne (Dennis) Boor of Dansville, four sons, Charles James (Barb) Sundlof, Richard (Judy) Sundlof, both of Dansville, David (Cheryl) Sundlof of Caledonia, and Eric (Cindy) Sundlof of Rochester. Two brothers, Bernard (Dale) Morgan of Dansville, and Jack (Eleanor) Morgan of Rochester. Twelve Grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two more on the way, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 am in St. Marys Church in Dansville. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Dansville Community Food Pantry, 41 Elizabeth St., Dansville, NY 14437, or the Cystic Fibrosis Family Connection, PO Box 93328, Rochester, NY 14692.
