Dansville- Robert R. "Bob" Kershner age 79, passed away late Friday evening December 22, 2017 at Hildebrandt Hospice in Rochester.

He was born in Dansville on July 19, 1938, a son of the late George and Ruth (Weirt) Kershner. On October 26, 1986, he was married to Joan Pfuntner Kershner, who predeceased him on June 23, 2006. He was also predeceased a granddaughter Stacy Kershner, a step-son Steven Young, and a nephew Christopher Kershner.

Bob was employed as a welder at the former Foster Wheeler Energy Corp in Dansville for 38 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the twenty-five year club at Foster Wheeler and the IAM. He was a communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Mary's Church in Dansville. A Life member of the James H. Jackson Hose Company of the Dansville Fire Department. In his free time he enjoyed mowing grass and tinkering around his home.

He is survived by his children, Laurie (Rick) Nagle, Robert (Valerie) Kershner, and Loren (Nicole) Kershner, three step-daughters, Susan (Eric) Tsolis, Linda (Vaughn) Hanggi, and Terri Lynn (William) Bingham, a brother, William (Joan) Kershner, twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and nephews, Andrew (Theresa) and William (Joanne) Kershner.

Friends may call Wednesday from 11:00 to 1:00 pm at Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville, where services will be held at the completion of calling hours. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com
