Obituary of Martha Jean McKinney

Dansville-Martha “Jean” McKinney age 78, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon June 14, 2017, at her home in Dansville.

She was born in Bolair, WV. On June 7, 1939, a daughter of the late Thomas B. and Virgie (Woods) Price. She was predeceased by her husband James in 2012 and by her brothers and sisters.

Jean was an employee of Craig Colony in Sonyea, as a housekeeper for over 25 years. In her free time she enjoyed trips to the casino, playing bingo, tending to her flowers and gardens at her home. James and Jean spent many years camping and traveling. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving Jean are her son, Thomas (Christine) McKinney, her grandchildren, Renee' (Shawn) Howe, Matthew (Amanda) McKinney, Michael (Jillian) McKinney, Rachael (Brian) Wood, Bethany (Mark) Nguyen, great grandchildren, Jakob, Jackson, Teghan, Kellan, Tenley, Elise, Maisie, Jonah, Lucy Ann and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for James and Jean will be held on Monday June 19, 2017 11am at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. Interment to follow services at Greenmount Cemetery Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dansville Ambulance Fund, 18 Ossian St., Dansville, NY 14437
