Marion Evelyn Thompson (Rittenhouse) Albert age 96, passed away on May 25, 2017, in hospice care at UR Noyes Hospital in Dansville NY.

She was born in Scottsburg NY on July 25, 1920, a daughter of the late Lloyd D. Thompson and Iva (Hendershot) Thompson Bradley. She was predeceased by her son Robert Eugene Rittenhouse and daughter Nancy Rittenhouse Hanna.

Marion was a graduate of Geneseo High School. She worked as a Therapy Aid and retired from Craig Developmental Center. She volunteered for 17 years at Dansville Primary School. She enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, reading, and playing cards and bingo with all her friends at Morgan Estates.

Surviving Marion are her children, Virginia (Chuck) Minster of Pittsford, Wendell (Patty) Rittenhouse of Florida, Karen Rittenhouse of Dansville, Lorri (Bill) Welch of Dansville and a daughter in law Carol Rittenhouse of Dansville, 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great- great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held 1:00 pm Sunday May 28, 2017, at the Tuscarora Presbyterian Church. 8082 Main St Tuscarora, NY.

A private burial will be at the Union Cemetery in Scottsburg at the family's discretion. Arrangements made by Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville NY. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com
