Canaseraga- Ada E. Neu age 90, formerly of Route 36 in Canaseraga, passed away late Wednesday evening July 27, 2017, at Ira Davenport Nursing Home in Bath. She was born in Prattsburgh on June 10, 1926, a daughter of the late George and Florence (Polmenteer) Potter. On May 3, 1947, she was married to Delorus Neu, who predeceased her on May 29, 1995. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Nancy, a son Ronald, two sons in-law Gary Rawleigh, and Harland Spencer, siblings, Melvin, James, Milton and Melbourne Potter. Ada was retired from the Gunlocke Chair Company in Wayland where she had worked in the finishing department. In her free time she enjoyed, playing phase 10 cards, collecting elephant figurines and thimbles. She also enjoyed many trips to Florida to visit her son and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Barb Spencer and Jane (John) Seward both of Dansville, a son Milton (Gail) Neu of Eustis, FL, daughter in law Lori Neu of Dansville, and a sister, Waneta (Gordon) Fox of Bath, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday from 10:00 to 12:00 noon at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where a service will be held at the completion of calling hours. Interment will be private in Arkport Cemetery, Arkport. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
