Dansville- Donald H. Burley age 90, passed away early Friday afternoon July 8, 2016, at home. He was born in Dansville on October 24, 1925, a son of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Reisinger) Burley. On October 7, 1950, he was married to Arita "Rita" Sutfin Burley, who predeceased him in 2007. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Helen Bowen, Charlotte Spigler, Marian Butler, Arthur, Richard, Robert and Walter Burley. Don was a US Navy WWII veteran serving from 1943-1946. He was a member of the Daniel Goho Post # 87 of the American Legion, the Frank Casbolt # 6780 of the VFW, the Loyal Order of the Moose # 1130 of Dansville. He was also a member of the Saturday Night Couples Bowling League at the former Brae Burn Recreation. He was retired from the former Foster Wheeler Energy Corp. In his free time he enjoyed playing softball, fishing, riding motorcycle, tinkering in his garage, building and selling wooden lawn ornaments. He is survived by his dear friend, June Perry of Dansville, a daughter, Jean (Steve) Morsch of Nunda, three sons, Daniel (Linda) Burley of Wayland, Gary (Barb) Burley of Dansville and Mark (Kelly) Burley of Webster, a sister in-law Linda Jaroszek, many grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday from 1:00 to 3:00pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Interment with Full Military Honors will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville.
