Obituary of Gloria Ann Purdy

Dansville- Gloria Gettsy Purdy age 87, passed away late Thursday night April 28, 2016 at Livingston County Center for Nursing Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris following an illness. She was born in Simpson, Pennsylvania on July 27, 1928, a daughter, of the late Joseph and Anastasia (Nemetz) Gettsy. She is also predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Harold Purdy, her son, William Purdy, her siblings, Joseph and John Gettsy, a sister, Edith Roller. Gloria was a Communicant of St. Mary’s Church of Dansville. She worked at Ferguson’s Dress Shop in Dansville, NY. as a retail clerk until she retired. Gloria moved to Winter Park Florida in 1984 later returning to Dansville in 2011. Gloria is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Tim) Wolfanger, Becky (Steve) Mottl, and Cindy (Craig) Jerome, her grandchildren, Jason (Beth) Wolfanger, Amy (Gerald) Chamberlin, Peter (Megan Kenobbie) Mottl, Ryan (Heather Ward) Mottl, Kevin (Katie) Mottl, Kiersten (Nicholas Spreen) Mottl, William (Jenn) Jerome, Joseph ( Nikki) Jerome, great-grandchildren, Paige and Grayson Wolfanger, Briley, Adalynn, Amara, Kamryn Jerome, Several Nieces and Nephews including special nieces, Darlene Greco, Kathy Hassen. At Gloria’s request no calling hours, a memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family, Intermet in Holy Cross Cemetery Dansville, NY.
