Obituary of Erna Marie Hawk

Dansville- Erna M. Hawk age 90, passed away late Friday evening August 7, 2015, at St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell, after being transferred from McAuley Manor. She was born in Buffalo, on July 14, 1925, a daughter of the late Albert and Edna (Warning) Doster. On October 1, 1983, she was married to Edward V. Hawk, who predeceased her on August 15, 1991. She was also predeceased by her son, William Beman, and a brother Donald Doster. Erna was a member of the Stony Brook Rebekah's, the Kate J. Jackson Court of Amaranth and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the Conesus United Church of Christ and attended the Sparta Center United Methodist Church. She also was a volunteer at the Teresa House in Geneseo and the Livingston County Hospice program. She is survived by three step-sons, Albert (Janice) Hawk, Gordon (Frances) Hawk, and Duane (Judith) Hawk, and several grandchildren and step-grandchildren, two brothers, Howard and Harold Doster and several nieces and nephews. At the request of Erna there will be no services or calling hours. Arrangements are by Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. Interment will be in Rural Cemetery in Hornell.
