Obituary of Helen H. Caito

Helen H. Caito age 82, passed away unexpectedly at home Thursday afternoon October 30, 2014. She was born in Perry, NY on January 16, 1932, a daughter of the late Henry and Sophie (Klussman) Lowery. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Mary, Dorothy, Henry and Albert. On June 28, 1952, she was married to Anthony J. Caito who survives. Helen was a Library Aid in the Dansville Primary School for many years retiring in 1988. She was a communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Mary's Church in Dansville, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Altar Society, instructed Precanna and attended Cursio Retreats. She was a member of the Dansville Lioness Club, the Wednesday Night Bowling League at the former Brae Burn Recreation, and a longtime volunteer at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. In her free time she enjoyed cooking and baking. Surviving in addition to her husband of 62 years Tony are her children, Marguerite (John) Chapman, Michelle (Thomas) Lemen and Michael (Beth) Caito; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother Carl Lowery and a sister Cora Draper and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 am at St., Mary's Church in Dansville. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville.
