Dansville- Claudette S. Conway age 81, passed away Tuesday afternoon June 17, 2014 at home. She was born in Dansville on May 12, 1933, a daughter of the late Claude and Mary (Kernaghan) Schirmer. On October 9, 1954, she was married to James A. “Doc” Conway, who predeceased her on March 21, 2011. She was also predeceased by a daughter and son in-law, Kathleen (Christopher) Quinn Claudette was a communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Mary’s Church in Dansville. She was formerly employed at FA Owen Publishing Company as a secretary. She retired from the Dansville Central School District as the district Treasurer in 1995. She is survived by her children Terrence (Angie) Conway, Maureen (Kevin) Kraus, Sarah (Randy) Forbes, Patrick (Lisa) Conway and Brendan (Cyndi) Conway. Two sisters Doris Bacon and Barbara LaShomb, two sisters in-law, Mary Gail Welch and Doris Conway. Seventeen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church in Dansville. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville. A reception will follow the funeral Mass at the Dansville American Legion. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 40 Elizabeth St. Dansville, NY 14437.
