Obituary of Carmen Thelma Brokaw

Dansville – Carmen Werth Brokaw age 84, passed away Thursday Night, December 26, 2013, at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
She was born in Cohocton NY on July 4, 1929, a daughter of the late Bernard and Thelma (Polmanteer) Fox. She was also predeceased by her husbands Richard Werth, Bruce Brokaw, and her brother Jack Fox
Carmen was a Past President of the Daniel Goho American Legion Auxiliary, an involved member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Dansville. She enjoyed spending time with her family, making cards and stamping up. She was a Bowler for The Bennett Brothers Team at Brae Burn on the Wednesday Night Bowling League.
Surviving are her children; David (Kate) Werth of Dansville, Mary Richards of Marion. A brother Bernard “George” (Wanita) Fox of Wayland, three sisters, Marlene (Nathan) Cyr of Inverness Fl, Bernadette (James) Kridler of Atus, OK. Saundra Fox of Dansville, Seven Grandchildren, Eleven Great-Grandchildren and several very special nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Monday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St. Dansville NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday 5:00 pm at St. Mary’s Church of Dansville. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville at a later date. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
