Ithaca/Dansville- James E. Stanton , 78, of 136 Seven Mile Drive Lot 51, Ithaca, NY passed away at Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca February 14, 2009. Jim was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia and Lymphoma in May of 2008. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gloria, sons David of Newfield and Gregory of Freeville, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Michael J. Stanton, parents - Dr. and Mrs. A. B. Stanton and a brother Adrian Stanton. Jim was a 1955 graduate of Alfred University and worked in the printing field all his life. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Keeping with Jim's wishes there will be no calling hours. A memorial will be planned at a later date. Remember him as the wonderful man he was.
