She was born in Youngstown, Ohio on June 7, 1950, a daughter of the late David and Jean (Feyock) Curry. On April 5, 1976, she was married to Norman J. Scott who survives.Mom's family didn't just include her relatives; she had multiple people outside the family who were considered as a part of ours. Whether they were Dad's life-long friends who have been with us since the beginning, or the girls of her daughter's softball team she kept score for at every game, or the many friends of her three sons.they all called her mom. Then there is her family at Stony Brook Pediatrics, where a piece of her heart will always remain. She not only touched the lives of the people she worked with but those who came in scared and sick. Her smile would fill the room and she always had the perfect stickers to make a young child feel a little bit better. The most important thing in Mom's life is family, and she had a big one. She had siblings and children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and friends, and her one wish would be to have been surrounded by them all if only for a day. She got her wish.Surviving in addition to her husband, Norm, are a daughter, Jessica Scott of Dansville, three sons, Joseph (Rene) Scott, of Montana, Benjamin (Malinda Hilyard) Scott, of Geneseo, and Zachery (Casey) Scott, of Dansville. Two brothers, Richard (Sandra) Curry and D. Alan Curry both of Albany, and a sister, Kathryn Alderman of NC, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.Friends called Sunday from 7-9pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. A Mass of Christian Burial was Celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00am at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Dansville. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Stony Brook Pediatrics Endowment Fund, PO Box 499, Dansville, NY 14437.
