Obituary of Truman William Wallace

He was born in Batavia on November 18, 1926 a son of the late William and Grace (Truman) Wallace. He was also predeceased by a brother Robert Wallace. On February 15, 1947 in Sacred Heart Church in Perkinsville he was married to Agnes Mark Wallace, who survives. Truman was a graduate of Dansville High School Class of 1942. He then enlisted in the US ARMY during WII serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater from 1945-1946. He was employed at Foster Wheeler Energy Corp. in Dansville for 33 years, retiring as a foreman in 1985. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Marys Church in Dansville, the twenty-five year club at Foster Wheeler, a former member of the Daniel Goho Post # 87 of The American Legion and the Buds and Blossoms Square Dance Club. In his free time he enjoyed camping with his dear wife Agnes and family, wood carving and especially his garden. He is survived by his wife of over sixty years, Agnes Mark Wallace, five children, William (Nancy) Wallace of Albany, Cheryl (James) Leach of Victor, Kathy (Adrian) Joy, Patricia (Herman) Kreiley, and Donald Wallace all of Dansville a brother Roger (Mary) Wallace of NC, two sisters in-law Marlene Wallace of Rochester, and Leona Mark of Perkinsville. Five grandchildren, Chad Kreiley of Orlando, Fl, Lacey (Ron Roeut) Joy of York, Mark and Michael Joy serving in the US Air force. Katlyn Joy of Dansville, and one Great-Granddaughter Emma Joy Roeut. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville. Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 10:00am at St. Marys Church in Dansville. Interment with full military honors in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville.
