Obituary of Keith David Lown

He was born in Sparta on June 7, 1931, a son of the late Earl and Grace Wambold Lown. On February 23, 1951, he was married to Jean Gibson Lown who predeceased him on October 22, 2002. He was also predeceased by a sister Barbara Cramer. Keith was employed at Foster Wheeler Energy Corporation in Dansville as a welder for over 42 years. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the IAM Local # 1665 at Foster Wheeler, and a life member of the Daniel Goho Post # 87 of The American Legion. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time at home. He is survived by a son, Douglas (Betty Anne) Lown of Canaseraga, a daughter, Debbie (Don Hundley) Lown of Ossian, two brothers Richard (Irene) Lown of Dansville, and Willard (Gloria) Lown of Bolivar. Two grandchildren, Ryan and Lacey Lown, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Ossian Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Ossian Center Cemetery.
