Dansville- Katie Michele Burr age 21, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning November 27, 2011, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in the Town of West Sparta.
She was born in Hornell on February 19, 1990, a daughter of Brian Burr and Renee MacDonald. She was predeceased by many grandparents and great-grandparents.
Katie was a Class of 2010 graduate of Dansville Central School and was currently enrolled in the Nursing Program at BOCES. She enjoyed being a mother to her daughter Michele, riding horses, reading, texting and crocheting. She was a volunteer for the American Diabetes Association and a former participant in the Livingston County 4H program.
Surviving in addition to her daughter Michele Burr, are her mother and step-father, Renee (John Pierce) MacDonald; her father, Brian (Michelle Mehlenbacher) Burr all of Dansville; step-mother, Rose Nobles; three sisters, Amanda Seaton, Ayesha Burr and Megan Pierce; four brothers, Kenny Burr, Andrew Burr, Cody Burr and David Pierce. Her grandparents, Ralph MacDonald, Kenneth (Debbie) Burr, Linda Burr and Margo Nobles. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Friends may call Wednesday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the Dansville United Methodist Church, 5 Chestnut Ave, where services will follow at 6:00 pm. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
