West Sparta - Dorcas A. Ace age 91, passed away Friday evening July 2, 2010, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville after being transferred from the Livingston County CFNR in Mt. Morris.

She was born in Indiana on July 31, 1918, a daughter of the late George and Beatrice Foust. She was also predeceased by a granddaughter, Stacia Davies-Vogt and her sister Martha Fox. On April 13, 1950, she was married to Fay H. Ace, who survives.

Dorcas worked as a CNA at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. She was a charter member of the Nunda Ambulance Company and a past member of the Nunda VFW Ladies Auxiliary. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, crafts, needle point and was a collector of Rooster figurines and ornaments.

Surviving in addition to her husband Fay, are three daughters; Nancy (Anthony) Regatuso of Mt. Morris, JoAnne Moudik of TX and Joyce (David) Davies of West Sparta; a son, Roger Leslie of FL. A brother George (Nellie) Foust, two sisters; Catherine Keers and Thelma Ameter all of Indiana, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held Wednesday at 11:00am with the Rev.
