Dansville- Jennie M. Miner age 86, formerly of Dansville passed away late Thursday afternoon June 17, 2010, at the Livingston County CFNR in Mt. Morris where she had been a resident since September.

She was born in Rochester May 19, 1924, a daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie (Mark) McCart. She was the widow of William Miner, who predeceased her in 1966. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Elizabeth Nicastro, Margaret Quait, John, Joseph and George McCart.

Jennie was a waitress at several Dansville area restaurants including the Coffee Cup and the Sugar Bowl. She was a senior companion at Dogwood Day Treatment in Dansville. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, embroidery, and baking.

She is survived by a son David (Maureen) Miner of Sparta; two grandsons, David (Roxanne) Miner Jr., CA, and Timothy (Melissa) Miner of Syracuse; a brother Robert (Rosemary) McCart of Leicester and a sister Sarah (Jack) Palma of Dansville and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Sunday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St., Dansville. A graveside service will be held Monday at 10:00 am in Mt. Morris Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com
